Is Melania Impossible now?

So I tried everything. Im level 230 something. maxed out darkmoon, rivers of blood, starscourge, carian, fingerprint shield, demihuman staff, rogiers sword, carian shield, mimic , blackknight tiche, , flies, breath, and a dozen other things . . . bebirth for strength . . . then intelligence, the faith builds . . . and best I did was halfway through second phase. So I tried summoning 2 extra multiplayers. same result after 20 tries of that. I noticed that all the methods online seemed to have been patched into uselessness. Has anyone beaten her recently? if so how?

kekw she is so easy all u have to do is memorize her attacks and timings and if u also have a bleed build, ur golden. On my first playthrough I beat her in my very first try with rivers of blood and without any help or summons. such an overrated boss lol

I like how you pretend you're good at the game by claiming to first try the hardest boss in the franchise while also stating you used literally the most overpowered weapon to do it. Takes real skill to just spam L2 over and over again until something dies. She was difficult for anybody that wasn't using a blatantly broken weapon.

Well every boss can just be beaten by learning the movement patterns.
So you dont rely on cheap tricks that might get patched.

Malenia doesnt even have too complex patterns.
And she is only agressive when you spam unnecessary on your gamepad
she is in fact very passive when you play calm and relaxed

This is one of the great missunderstandings of many bad players....
they think Malenia is hyper agressive and i used cheat to manipulate her AI... lol when in fact the agressiveness is caused by panic spam on gamepad and i play relaxed

Malenia has massive input reading... so when you panic spam she reacts

Stagger is the way, imo.
Try to chain high stagger attacks together: my magic combo against Malenia, is:
"Aspect of the Crucible: Horns" -> "Lansseax's Glaive" -> "Aspect of the Crucible: Tail"

If the first one connects, you can execute the other 2 and Malenia will be unable to avoid them. Add Spear of Granssax Ash of War for good measure.

Good Ashes of War agains her are:
-Lion's Claw
-Sword Dance
-Double Slash
-Phantom Slash (Especially if you use mimic with it: it becomes a 4 homing melee attack combo).
With this setup and sekiro attitude (hesitation is death), you'll beat her.
Modify your weapons for frost or bleeding for maximum damage. Or you can go the easy mode, and spam Adula’s Moonblade and Ancient Death Rancor and perma stagger her.

I have said it before.

Elden Ring brought millions of new players into the Souls Genre.

There was a clear shift on how to approach bosses.
When i first played Souls games the common way was to analyze the movement of a boss and learn how to deal with it.
This was seen as the go to way. (default way to approach souls games)

If you truly learned a boss it doesnt matter which weapon or patch or whatever circumstances....
you will always win

WIth the Millions of new players the majority didnt like the effort behind this approach.
They wanted cheap and easy tricks and combined it with a : " Its in the game ! so why not use it "
So the majority peoples view on how to fight bosses changed dramatically.
Nowadays the accepted reality is -> dont bother learning a boss ! just use op things...

I accept that this is just the way it is now.
Allthough i will not be part of this since personally this is not the souls experience i love.
Majority of souls players dont bother learning bosses anymore.

Every boss thread can have 1 simple answer
-> analyze and learn the moveset of the boss

Because there are so many similar names in this game that people have a hard time keeping it straight, is my theory.

I agree, but don't forget Wild Strikes, (with a cold or blood infused Great Stars if one wants extra healing), which was actually buffed in 1.07 and should be unchanged in 1.08

Look through old Malenia threads and what tipps people gave....
i was probably the only one who explained her moveset
rest was use this op method or that op method ....

And while for example Tiche or Mimic is not considerd cheese its still a cheap way to win vs Malenia.

Yes its in the game
yes its okay to use it
but also yes it makes the fight 100 times easier


I am totally fine if someone uses Tiche on Malenia

Its just that you then have to be honest enough to accept that it makes the fight tremendously easier
