Yes anything that resets the "fixated" target of a monster will work with humans.
Like Darkness per example, but as said above i have 0 field experience about invisibility and PVP.
He thanks for the support my man! But this is how things go (in all the internet). People prefer to participate in discussions with baiters than talk about Elden Ring builds and other game details to enhace their experience.
Consider me extremly happy if one or two community members find this helpful, try it and have the INSANE AMOUNTS of fun i had with it.
Needles to say this is rubish against bosses....just swap to whatever you want.

Also silences footsteeps making it amazing (if you keep an eye on the 30 secs timer). Thats basically Crepus Vial/Assasin approach/Black knife set together with Unseen form.
So yeah not optimal for a full stealth run but a amazing tool for a low/mid RL resourceful character.
There is another amazing and "rare" ash of war, wich is the ultimate crowd control tool in Elden Ring. It deserves a video not just words!.

Not only it works perfectly as a "smoke" bomb, for any AOE based build or even DAGGERS (we get like 20 threads whinning about daggers each month....) to backstab everything.
Hell you can even go with an executioner axe if you want (together with Misericorde the weapons with higher crit multiplier.
I was going to add this as well, but apparently I wasn't fast enough. On top of the fp it also consumes a small amount of hp.
For soon to be assassins starting as confessor, wretch or prophet I'd also suggest Assassin's Approach[eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com], which can be acquired by either starting as confessor, or by getting the Assassin's Prayerbook[eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com] located in roundtable hold behind the second imp statue downstairs. It's an incantation that requires 10 faith (hence the suggested starting classes) and negates fall damage up to a certain point and makes the character more stealthy, making approaches upon possible targets easier.
There is also an incantation called Darkness[eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com] which conjures a veil( or cloud) of darkness for surprise attacks near indoor chockepoints, although it requires a faith investment of 18.
Uncertainty can be used to your advantage, so conceal your weapon using the Unseen Blade[eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com] sorcery. This way your target won't know what hit them
By the way, what weapons would you guys preferably use in a proper assassin build?
Yeah i knew about the set little "detail". Luckily you find all the set only in one place and unaltered by default so you really have to change it for the "lulz" (really light armor set so no point at all altering it). And thanks your post im 100% you are fine enough with the vial, no need for the set (unless you want to save the talisman slot for something else).
Oh about Darkness.

Love it! But sadly pretty limited and as you said requires a good faith investment (also mind, pretty expensive you know). You can find it where you said (need 4 or two imp keys cant remember) together with Crepus crossbow.
And about spells/weapons. You can actually cast https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Poison+Mist
without leaving stealth....and (ready for this?) SCUMBAG bosses...yes some world bosses will get poisoned and melt without even notice you, just amazing but unfair...
Also sorceries from the night school (like night comet) are undetectable by default. Even without a stealth build if you are at max range, they will not notice you even after zapping them with a fully charged night comet.
As for weapons
https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Misericorde
or
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-
d&q=executioner%27s+greataxe+elden+ring
combined with
https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Dagger+Talisman
Both weapons deal massive crit damage, with the talistman 17% more. I know you would never think about an assasin using a giant rusty axe hahaha....but if you buff yourself with flame grant me strength you will probably be able to oneshot any medium/small size monster of Elden Ring. Oh they survived the crit? no problem, white lure or darkness and crit them again!.
I didn't know that casting Poison Mist doesn't trigger an enemies attention.
Also it's fitting to use sorceries of the night school.
Misericorde in combination with the Dagger Talisman is an excellent choice, especially with a well placed parry, should the situation arise.
Oh wel haha

Who said you cant go full Solid Snake mode with a giant axe and heavy armor? ha.
Yup, the poison mist cheese is usually used to kill the draconic tree sentinel outside Leyndell. As you can see even after a buff poison mist still sucks.....the only good poison is deadly poison and you cant apply that with stealth.
As you noticed i oneshoted the guy with a night comet and no one bothered. I tested it after with the knight, survived and went straight to whack me (even invisible) but running out of sight made him reset.
With this we can say there are a lot of possibilities to have a lot of fun with a stealth run. Im going to say it.....get ready.....with the proper tools you can make it better than Sekiro, no questions.
Well...thats the final victory over the "Sekiro wuz bezzer" dudes. Elden Ring does everything better, even.....THE STEALTH...
In Sekiro you had to do a lot of things to mind control some random monster. Here? sneak behind and stab it with a bewitching branch.
Want to cause real chaos without anyone noticing you? summon (if you can) two farum beast man or a mad pumpkin head while you "snipe" everyone with night comets.
Or just sneak around with a COLOSSAL WEAPON and heavy armor, bonking things without anyone noticing...bliss.
Noyce :)
