Why is Hoarah Loux of all people the F*@king Elden Lord and one of the final bosses?
This is gonna be a long post. First time posting on Reddit so bear with me.

I am almost finished with the Game. Just got done beating Hoarah Loux. Only Radagon and Elden Beast to go

I have just one question. Why is Hoarah Loux of all people the f*@king Elden Lord? He's not some god with great Powers or whatever. He's just a WWE wrestler. Not even very strong at that. Nothing else shows that he should have anything to do with the title of Elden Lord.

Queen Marika came to him and literally handed him the Elden Crown on a Silver platter. Without that, he wouldn't be some great Lord. He'd be just another A***hole who's really hard to kill. .

Marika's Children could easily beat his a** like a Drum. Lady Malenia would shred him within minutes if he showed up to her half-naked like that. General Radahn would bury him alive under 100 tons of rock, atleast when he was in his prime. Even Malekith and Rennala would be quite the threat to him as Rennala in her prime was known to match Radagon's Strength who is a literal god.

FromSoft games often had Old Men as Endgame bosses and important Characters. Demon Soul's had King Allant, Dark Souls had Gwyn, Lord of Cinder, Bloodborne has Gehrman, The First Hunter, Dark Souls 2 had Vendrick. Dark Souls 3 had Slave Knight Gael and Sekiro had Sword Saint Isshin.

Each of these endgame bosses were insanely strong warriors in their own right but that wasn't all. There was so much more to their characters, their stories and their personalities. Each was unique and had a certain....wisdom to them. You could tell just by talking to them.

Hoarah Loux is just a f*@king boxer in comparison. Can't help but feel disappointed with the game.

Neither are you, but you just killed him and all the demigods in the land.

one of the coolest bosses in the game and you are complaining. nooooo why isn't he some generic JRPG demigod villain noooo you can't make him actually cool nooooo
You are talking about a man who fused his spirit with a lion in order to calm him down
Nah, for better effect you should delete the last sentence, that one is too much.

This is the answer. The only possible answer, really.

Welp, consider what the other gods, and demi-gods all have at their disposal.
- Godrick - Grafted powerful abomination with power to control storms
- Renalla - Queen of basically an entire nation and uses extremely powerful fullmoon sorceries
- Radahn - Lauded general, extremely powerful chad of a warrior, and knows gravity sorcery to boot, so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ strong he's holding back the stars even after losing his mind
- Malenia - Mother of all scarlet rot, expert swordswoman, has the ability to steal her opponents life just by hitting them
- Rykard - Giant godlike serpent that spews lava everywhere with a gigantic sword
- Radagon - Head of the golden order and wielder of the hammer that broke the elden ring
- Morgott - Conservative king who holds the immense power of omen blood
- Mohg - Lord of blood, uses a ritual to nearly insta-kill anything in a pinch and regains his own health in doing so

Then there's Godfrey/hourah loux. He stands about on equal with any given one of them. What's his weapon? "I HAVE TWO HANDS!!" And that's it. He stands on par with them despite having no special abilities or weapons, that is how much of a beast this guy is.

He's a warrior, a regular guy, not born a demi-god or a god. So this is fitting, he's just like you.

Nailed it. I don't understand exactly what's going on, but dude needs some ridiculous lion to hold back his rage. His iron will is his god power and his fists are what communicate it.

I hate almost all the voice acting in this game, this guy especially.

One of my favorite fights.
No tricks. Just fists.
Just my opinion, but he was one (if not) the only boss in the game that made me laught out loud each time that killed me.

Sure, many bosses kicked my *ss more than once, but none of them did it in such style. Some serious DBZ stuff right there.

I guess the op complaint is more oriented towards "he doesn't look like a King, just a brute". But he's (or was) the Chieftain of the Badlands. Not many libraries there I'd bet.

Cheers!
He's a warlord who can literally rip apart the lands with his hands and assisted Marika in establishing the Golden Order.
Because he did the swish swash with the Marika.
Because Marika needed a pawn strong enough to be of use in her conquest, and dumb enough to be easily discarded once he completed her objective. Horah Loux also had the virtue of being apparently as charismatic as a potato, considering that once she dismissed him form the Lands Between, Horah Loux went “yes, dear.” and NOT a single one of his Crucible knights thought of opposing his decision or challenging her rule.

I'm pretty sure the crucible knights were pissed off and Marika revenged on some of them, seeing how some of them ended up.
