Castle Morne quest= Absolute ridiculous

The letter for the king in castle Morne? Yeah if you beat the boss BEFORE you hand the letter to the king you fail the quest?

Why in gods name would it fail the quest? Why would you trigger that?

nothing in the achievement list has only been obtained by 2.5%

even the "complete all achievements" achievement has been obtained by over 7%

Uh what exactly did they patch from this quest? Was it bugged? I'm just curious because i never had any issues wifh this quest, though I didn't do in my last playthrougs because i don't see the point of doing it in the first place, but now i wonder if have missed something.

Is it still the same nonsense of delivering the letter, having this guy be grateful, having his daughter die and then in end having him attack you in Liurnia even though you helped him.

Is there more to it now or was it just bugged for some people?

For some players Edgar would not invade in the Revengers Shack, after disappearing from Castle Morne. This in return made it impossible to progress Hyettas quest, as Edgar drops a Shabriri Grape among other things after being defeated.

I assume it was just bugged for some people. And by the looks of it the patch got rid of the issue, I don't remember seeing any threads about ever since.

No worries, Hyetta does not even appear as long as Irina is alive, also she will still not show up near the Lake-Facing Cliffs site of grace as long as Boc stays near it.

I'd say probably some mix of this and the expectations created by most "RPG"s over the last 15 years, where there is a clearly defined good. bad, neutral, etc type of endings and/or outcomes in questlines.... and this is essentially Dark Souls, where there are no unambiguous happy endings, and only rarely an outright bad-for-everyone "bad" ending. Arguably, the "default" ending IS the worst ending in half of them, and questlines tend to be very ambiguous the majority of the time.

You don't fail the quest. I don't think you can fail that quest. Get the letter, give it to him before or after you beat Leonine. Irina dies either way, then you go to the revengers shack in Liurnia and finish the job
