Summoning Other Players
I've noticed that there is a group of people that think summoning others or NPCs to help you is bad. Well, I'll tell you that those summons have helped me get through parts of thing game that I other wise might still be stuck on.

Just recently I summoned someone to help me kill the Draconic Tree Sentinel. The guy straight tanked him for me to chip away at the sentinels health. Was the fasted fight with the sentinel I've ever had. Not to mention the 120th fight with said sentinel.

Bad like, immoral or what do you mean?

If nobody summoned, we Sunbros would be out of a job. I love that people summon, co-op is my favorite part of these games. I encourage everyone who wants to do it, to do it. Out of the hundreds of bosses I've done co-op, I like to think that I helped at least a few people who were stuck.

It's also why I'm so disappointed that the online is broken for me, what with connection losses and figure-skating/teleporting bosses and players. Feels bad, man.

It's bad in the sense that it's a crutch, but if you're fine with that then go ahead and summon. You'll get better faster if you play solo, but if you just want to finish the game or are tired of trying to beat a particular boss, then go ahead and summon. But you should at least attempt the boss several times before summoning, so that you know the moveset somewhat.

Just please, please either level vig, use a greatshield, or learn to roll the bosses moveset decently. Don't aggro the boss too much if you've got like 3 VIG and can't survive a hit. I've done my share of sunbro'ing, but the thing that boggles the mind the most is that some people summon for their first try on a boss. You're definitely gonna die the first few times, please don't invite me along for the ride.

So yeah, summoning is bad in terms of getting good at the game, but it's still perfectly fine if you want help. Just do the bare minimum of preparations first at least. We're sunbro'ing to help, you just gotta at least be able to stay alive so that we can actually help.

Summoning is fine. I love helping people out. I'd advise to try it on your own first, and I mean REALLY try, not just "whoops, died once, HELP ME!!!" But really try learning the boss. That will also help you not die in 10 seconds when you do summon someone.

Summoning is fun and all, but there are consequences. Elden Ring has a LOT of new players, and these people learn to depend heavily on summons. That’s how you end up with Level 60 12-vigor monstrosities begging for help with Elden Beast.

I do a lot of co-op, particularly with Malenia because I like watching Black Flame melt her healthpool. However, every host I meet (level 150 btw) has like 30 vig and simply *cannot* dodge. At all.

It’s a PLAGUE

It hasn’t been this bad in any other Souls game. There was a certain degree of skill required to get past a certain point- Elden Ring has no such requirements. No great filter.

We used to have Gundyr. I miss him.

It's like putting ketchup on pizza. Nothing immoral about it and nobody should care if you like it but there's always some weirdos that feel personally attacked if you do.

What is your recommended level to attempt Malenia? For a player of average skill.

Doesn't matter Malenia will still one shot you in some cases. Try lvl 120 or 130 with 60 vigor.

Cool. And last boss, which lvl to attempt it and finalize the game?

If you didn't summon i would have no one to invade =]. Summoning and invasions are linked now.
