FROM SOFTWARE, you need to PATCH Varre's questline.

Since you need to invade 3 players to progress his questline and you can't do that anymore since everyone is playing off-line with the co-op mod, you can't finish his questline anymore.

Patch the game to let us invade some NPCs or something like that, otherwise we will be locked of this questline (that gives a weapon, an armor set and early access to a cool area).

*EDIT: In case some people still don't understand, you can only invade people who are doing co-op, since there are no solo invasions, but since everyone who wants to co-op is using this new mod (which i don't even use btw), you can't invade anyone, since trying to co-op on-line or with the official servers is asking to be invaded. So people like me who wants to invade just for this quest (and in this quest you just need to invade another world and then you can just go back to yours, which it's what i do since i don't care about PvP) are locked out of content of the game.

Volcano invasions are against NPCs and they have nothing to do with Varre. I know, but creating a thread here can make other people aware of the issue and then can contact Bandai and ask for this, since only one person asking for this won't be enough.

I know they're against NPCs, but I was hoping they counted for this as well.

Liurnia of the Lakes is where PvP was most active last time I went into PvP. Did you give it a try?

You could also just progress through the game normally? Mohgwyn palace is not locked off to you by any means without doing Varre's quest. The bouquet, despite being a fun weapon, is probably the worst weapon in the game due to it's pathetic damage output. Besides, the white mask which is the main piece of armor you want from the zone isn't tied to Varre at all, just to the nameless white masks that invade you in the blood lake. There's only two reasons to go there early.
A). Early +10 somber weapon
B). Soul Farm
Besides, if you're co-oping with someone with the mod, I'd imagine it would be more efficient to just play through the game at the intended pace. Additionally, there were quests that couldn't be done or items that couldn't be received without an online connection in DS3. Either people didn't care about the quests or items, or they had cheat engine up and ready. Safe to say that if you have the co-op mod, you would have the ability to run CE no problem and just modify in the badge Varre gives you to warp to Mohgwyn palace.

You can use a mod to skip the online part of the quest. You only need to talk to Varee one time at the Church of roses with the mod enabled. After that you can get rid of the mod an play on as you like (modded or vanilla).

I don't want to use any mod, i want to have access to all the content in the game i paid for.

Well, it would happen whether the mod exists or not. Co-opers would eventually dry up. FromSoft removing 1v1 invasions was extremely dumb.

The main problem is that everything was accessible in the DS saga offline (except, obviously, the invasions, that required other players). If you tie something only to the online when they will shut down the servers (and they will do eventually) you're never gonna be able to get it. It's simple as that.

This sentiment would only make sense if Mohgwyn palace was only accessible through Varre's quest. All that you do is skip content needed to enter normally and get to a high level area earlier than normal by doing Varre's quest. I guess you would only miss out on the bouquet, but once again it's more of a "joke" weapon and is easily outclassed.

Even if it's a joke weapon you're making impossible to get it for the offline players

Just go to the consecrated snowfield and take the teleport. You are only missing out on a meme weapon. That's it. The white mask, ancient dragon somberstone, and the soul farm are all available without ever needing to do Varre's quest. I'm an avid PvP nut and I see no problem with the quest the way it is.

You can still go to the precipice of anticipation, you're not locked out of going back to the starting area just because Varre doesn't ask you to soak the clothe in "maiden blood".

You can access all of Mohgwyn palace without needing to do the quest as mentioned before.

There have always been items and quests tied to PvP or online in these games ( Sekiro is it's own separate entity ). Most of the covenant locked items in the previous souls games have always been tied to farmable items if you didn't wish to invade, pvp, etc. With this, you miss out on a single weapon. That's it. It would be more of an issue if it was tied to the "Legendary Armaments" achievement, but it's not.

Hahahaha. I get regular invasions with tongue, and I can invade fairly regularly in most areas I've tried. I had a bunch in the ashen capital of all places (you'd think that would be a great place for duels too). I've invaded in a bunch of places. It just means you can't necessarily get access to an end game area for rune farming until a bit later than previously allowed. You can still do the Greyoll glitch that allows you to farm the big dragon for 50K runes a pop and only takes a few minutes. Much slower than the bird or the jump glitch at Mohg, but not terrible anyhow.

just invade, sometime it's longer than normal ,but it work. So invade 3 player win/lose i doesn't matter and move on

Wanted to point out, the War Surgeon set is unrelated to his quest, that drops from a random invader in the area.

The main thing you get from Varre are the Bloody Finger for infinite invasions, Red Eyes customization and his horrendously bad weapon.
