For fire giant phase 2 fire defense is super important. Using the flamedrake talisman and armor that boosts your fire defense is paramount as most of his physical attacks are pretty avoidable. You should have walked past the +1 flamedrake on the way there and the +2 is accessible from the cave by the minor erdtree in dragonbarrow.
If you increase your vigor and flame resistance it will have a huge effect on your effective hit points and you should last much longer.
If you are respecing anyways you may want to get enough faith to cast some lighting spells or weapon buffs and the clawmark seal is a good option for strength builds.
Oh, then your first priority is visiting Rennala to respec your character. You want minimum 40 VIG if you are ranged or 50 VIG if you are melee and/or for invaders (if you summon co-op or use Taunter's Tongue). Next step is to specialize your attributes for a particular set of weapons or spells. For example, sorcerers would prioritize VIG, INT, and MIND. An ultra greatsword build would prioritize VIG, STR, END. And so on. You don't have to dive into the complexity of builds and "min-maxing", but simply review whatever equipment or methods you like so you can optimize them.
I used the Godskin Peeler L2 (Black flame tornado) and it absolutely destroyed him....
did like 4600 damage to his foot per L2 charge
And i was only Level 97
Goodskin Peeler L2 does % HP damage per charge and therfore it was completely useless vs Morgott but ripped the Fire Giant
I dont see any bad point
After he rips his leg off, I just got on the horse and started chopping on his stump, all he could do was roll and flail like an enraged gator. He can't do much if you're behind him.
Took a few tries though. Fire Giant can absolutely kick some ass.
On first phase just rush to his leg with ya horsie and dismount and beat the hell out of it and for second phase I justed kited him over with my horsie and took chunks of his life when it was free hits, dodging seemed easy on that stage with the horse.
