Elden Ring is overrated... Dont get the hype 90 % playerbase is gone and heres why.

After having played Elden Ring on PS5 I just dont understand the praise this game is garnering. Its not a good Soulsborne game (DS3 and Bloodborne is better, hell even Demon Souls is better). As an open world game it sucks (PS I think Ubi games are in general a travesty onto gaming kind) and the dungeons harboring the Shardbearers are genuinely fantastic. The bosses are not good and are primarily frustrating (imbalanced) or boring (too easy) and aren't that satisfying to beat since the open world nature destroys the since of progression gained from defeating them. The pros are primarily its fantastic art direction and the amazing level design for the main dungeons. Overall the game gets a 6/10 from me due to mind numbingly simple combat, copy pasted and repetative enemies and bosses, a boring static open world thats too big for its own good and has no form of unique mechanics or interactive systems that incentavize exploration, boring bosses, a tacked on and forgettable crafting system, and lastly a shoehorned in stealth system. I don't understand the praise for the game and it being hailed as essentially the second coming of Digi-Jesus. I mean theres games out their that handle different systems and what not from Elden Ring 10x better but don't get the praise. Like the character progression in Disgaea 5 and Bravely Default and Bravely Second. The stealth in MGS 5. The exploration mechanincs seen in SMT5 and the Xenoblade games and Red Dead 2. The story and writing in the Nier, Drakengard games and No More Heroes. The combat like in Nioh 1 & 2, Strangers of Paradise. Lastly, the other games by From Software like Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne. I just don't understand the praise, maybe its not clicking with me, If you love it, thats fantastic I'm very happy for you, I rerspect your opinion, I mean sometimes I even see that slim glimmer of hope. But for me; it just doesn't meld with me.:mw:

Game is what it said to be a souls game, nothing less nothing more, a game with tough bosses and such.
It aint the next coming of god or whatever its a good souls game.

I dont think players aint playing anymore, more a case of players moving on... only a subset of players will carry on mastering a game, most will move on to the next... not sure what that next is at the moment, but most will move on.
