Are the two Astel bosses supposed to be different?
I just fought and beat the 2nd Astel boss in the Consecrated Snowfield dungeon, I forget the dungeon name.

On one of the ER Wikis it said that the 2nd version is a "much more powerful" version of Astel.

To me they felt practically identical. On the first Astel I used the Rock Sling spell with the meteor staff, and summoned the Ancestral Follower. Rock Sling is very useful because it staggers and knocks down bosses every third hit. And Ancestral Follower is tanky and holds Astel's aggro most of the fight.

So I thought I'd try it again for the 2nd Astel. Worked perfectly. Same exact fight. Died a few times to it, but that was because of the annoying mile long tail attack. Once the summons got the aggro I just spammed the Rocks.

Did you find them to be the same as well or did I miss something?

it probably felt Identical because you leveled up a bit. But yes, the one in the mountaintops has more health and damage. same moveset.

That makes sense. Now that I think about it, the 2nd Astel was one-shotting me with the tail attack. The first one couldn't do that much damage in one hit.

What surprised me the most is that Rock Sling is like one of the middle of the road gravity spells, I think it requires like 18 Intel? Was very doubtful it would do enough damage the second time around, and more doubtful it would actually stagger again.

But I guess the points I invested in Intel. after the first fight was why. Was just more dramatic than I anticipated. And I thought for sure I would have to use a spell that required like 30+ Intel. Nope.

The 2nd one sometimes summons illusions when it does the teleport grab. I never managed to survive that attack, but found out it didn't do that if you burst it down when it reached around 40% health. You probably did that by accident (or just got lucky) if you didn't notice any major differences.

Stars seems more aggressive to me. And it has that group attack Void doesn't. Same boss, but somewhat tougher.

copy paste of bosses as they have done throughout the game sadly

It was easier for me the second time because by the time I got there I was level 150. But, yeah as others have said it's a copy paste boss from earlier. Same exact moveset.

I find it a bit weird that they copy+pasted Astel but for some reason they actually made some subtle changes to Godefrey who has to be the most egregious example of reusing bosses alongside the second Astel fight

the only other difference for moveset he has is when he teleports and comes form above , sometimes he will duplicate himself in the air and go for you and your friends all at once making him a little more sneaky with his grab move.

stay near walls and he can't grab you like that as he won't use that move when you are somewhat near the walls. pro tip^

It has a new move, and is in-general, more aggressive I think

They are both EZPZ. I dunno if my game glitched, bc another boss was really easy 1st playthrough, but much harder second.
