Yes. In fact, you're the only person still playing. Spooky.

Its a mostly single player game and that shows
some people act like Soulsgames are PvP games......

They are 95% single player with a small PvP community

You can. We don't know player numbers on console afaik. Long term pc has generally maintained a more active playerbase in prior games. If you want instant games though, generally that isn't happening after the first month or so of a new soulsbourne game being out.

Invasions are fairly quick on pc for me. But not instant, seems similar on ps5 also.

Sadly a lot left due to poor performance with connection errors causing pvp and coop issues

Gl invading with most hosts summoning by boss fog and entering the room fast.

A good portion of players has already left the game, and with the garbage online this game has it doesn't surprise me that hardly anyone wants to play it online.

What the ♥♥♥♥ are you talking about? Little PvP community?
But then tell me, the only online feature of this game is pvp? They hype the game with ♥♥♥♥ trailers on the ''great coop side'' of this game......
Well actually you are right, the coop in this game is so useless and garbage that it is as if it does not exist lol.

waiting time has nothing to do with the size of the pool of players but with how it compares %wise with people actively using coop. coop is shrinking compared to single users. hence waiting times go up. when the game was new and also such a mainstream hit alot of "casuals" used coop. and for souls some time ago pc already was 30% of playerbase. with how pc gaming is growing lately and the nature of pc players sticking longer to games it propably bigger on steam than it is on console when you consider xbox and playstation seperate

There are other factors to take in. Performance issues on PC, constant disconnects (might happen on consoles too, not sure), people who use mods (therefore always offline), etc.

I'd still say with certainty that the steam community for ER is bigger than the console community (because just look at the ratio of gamers in terms of numbers overall), I'm just not so sure about the PvP sect, which contrary to popular belief, has always been small regardless of-*A CONNECTION ERROR HAS OCCURED, RETURNING TO YOUR WORLD. ALSO GO ♥♥♥♥ YOURSELF*

online is unplayable why would i even try? disconnected after maximum of 2 min even when the game died, showing its not the servers but bad code once again

If you get disconnected every 2 minutes it means that EAC isn't working for you. Maybe look up how to fix it.
Every 2 minutes exactly, EAC is supposed to tell the other players in the session "I'm still alive". If it doesn't, they disconnect from you. In fact, the few cheaters that exist can't stay connected to other people for longer than 2 minutes. Unfortunately that's more than long enough to kill you with cheats.

I can't find too much data except for this https://www.pcgamesn.com/elden-ring/eu-sales

Seems like it depends a bit on where you are - 44% of European Union players are on PC

I would guess (no data to back this up) that Americas have more console players than EU, and Asia has the most console players as a portion of the player base.

So it's probably a little easier to coop/invade on PC in the EU, but harder in Americas/Asia
