Game keeps crashing upon defeating Rennala Queen of the Full Moon

I don't know what's going on, or why this is happening, I defeat Rennala at the Rana Lucaria boss arena and every time I've reduced her to zero health the screen fades to black and then proceeds to crash back to the desk top. I do not believe I'm completing her quest at the moment. As far as I know I am currently moving forward with Ranna and Alexander's questlines.

Any useful suggestion would be appreciated.

Have you tried verifying your game files with steam?

i did that just recently and haven't fought her since. Game crashes going from phase 1 to phase 2

Well that's a bummer. Verifying game files with steam usually fixes issues like this.
