If you revert it you will keep the frenzied flame seal.
No, Melina just disappears for good in your current playthrough, and acts like nothing happened when you go to ng+.
It was really disappointing to say the least to find out that no ending has any influence on the second journey whatsoever.
It sounds kind of obvious but endings really are just there to end the game in some way and that's about it.
The sad truth is most people will never beat the game. So creating extra content for after 100+ hours in a single player focused game would just be silly business practice.
so if i understand correctly, there is absolutely no consequences to finishing this questline except for the impact on your current playthrough, and NOT finishing it screws you out of the frenzied flame seal, so finishing it should be a priority, right?
do i get a different item if i don't complete it and keep Melania around? or melina or whatever her name is... the chick that gives you the horse.
No, you just don't get any item at all. Melina "leaves" one way or another, either by calling you cringe for receiving the blessing of the Three Fingers orby kindling herself to burn the Erdtree if you have never met the Three Fingers
Edit: i've not done Goldmasks ending but honestly i don't think i'll complete NG+7 soon i like doing the PvP at level 125
