Why is the soundtrack so bad compared to DS3?

I love DS3 but I think this is kinda of an unfair comparison. DS3 was really up there in terms of OST. Other FS games... ye good, some tracks, sure not all of them tho.

Did you know you were actually supposed to fight Sulyvhan as the final boss and the title screen theme was supposed to be the boss' one? Don't remember the source tho, try looking it up online if you are interested.

And he had a phase 3 after his health reached zero. Convergence restored his fight and moved him as the second to last boss fight.

best OST from soft has ever done was King's Field ancient city. Don't know why I am putting that out there but there it is nonetheless.

I do agree with OP tho, elden ring OST is the weakest part of the game. Some nice sombre tunes tho in the city also during the last boss.

The song of the bats that the old bats sing is amazing. The first time I heard it I got drawn in like it was a siren song and fell down into the group of bats and died lol

personally i prefer to play some of my own music and turn off game music, seems like pretty generic souls like music though. Fromsoft have found their style and they are gonna stick to it! lol

Compared to DKS3 the soundtrack for this game is pretty ♥♥♥♥ to be honest.
Almost everything in that game was bangers and had millions of views before being deleted like what GW did to Godfrey.
