If any boss takes you more than a dozen or so attempts, I'd say you need to walk away and really evaluate your build and approach.
Id suggest removing scarseals and boosting your damage reduction to atleast 40-50% with 40 vigour.
They serve as a distraction so I can get a few more hits in when I use BFB, since I have to 2hand the BrickHammer to wield it at all, so I gotta cast BfB, switch to 2h and hope that he is focusing the summon right now.
I'll try again tomorrow. Coming back later is lame.
I am already in full Banished Knight Armor. SO all I could do is spam more in Vigor, and even then I'd need like 5-10 more levels to have it make a difference at all. Either that or I need to do the 20 level ups that would compensate so I can get rid of soreseal, which is the only reason I can even use my current Strike weapon.
So the entirety of what I can do is... put more in Vigor and Strength. There is nothing about the build to evaluate, because he's supposed to be brute forced.
By which I mean: I am not trying to become a Soulsborne pro and challenge runner who does level 1 wretch stuff. I am just trying to have fun beating the game. Sometimes Ashes make it easier to have fun beating the game.
If you haven't gotten inside already, you can find a Deathroot and give it to D, and he'll mark a summoning gate to get inside on your map. Or, you could find it without getting a deathroot, it's still there.
A big Git Gud to you.
Like how some people manage to be actually good human beings on their first try, while you clearly struggle witht he concept-
You could always learn to dodge his moves instead. If not, then you will need Vigor.
Yes, just Vigor. Not 'Vigor and Strength'
How much health and Vigor do you have? The game expects the player to have maybe 40-50 Vigor at that point. Anything less and you will have a harder time.
