How to reach hosts behind the East Lucaria Gate?

I have noticed that some poor players stand behind the magical gate, and when you invade or are summoned as a hunter you get stuck down at the swamp, while they just "AFK" up there behind the magical gate. Can this be overcome, or without fixing invader spawn there is no way around it?

Looks like an exploit that needs fixing. Moreover, the invaders start DOWN there, in the swamp, not just behind the gate. Hunters and invaders need to spend about an hour just running up there, as there is no point of access next to the invasion point. Seems like an instant disconnect, From Software studio must look into this.

It's true the run is long but you can actually shoot arrows thru the gate so you can poison them or rot them thats what I do.

Oh I just realized I must have skipped over the spawning in the swamp below part in your post, sorry.

Afk farming has more or less been a problem since release and does not seem to be the top priority in things which need to be fixed for Fromsoft.

Maybe try sending Bandai Namco a ticket about it.
