Easier way to do it than farming. Do irina's quest and give her father her message at castle mourne, defeat the leone misbegotten, return to irina.

Then head to Liurnia northwest and look for a location called the "Revengers shack" and kill the invader. It will drop a +8 banished knight halberd.

that one is long gone haha. i didn't realize how annoyingly rare it actually was and tossed it as i had other weapons in mind at the time.
