What the actual F is up with Castle Sol
The entire area is a difficulty spike by 200% all enemies in the mountain top of the giant are needlessly strong and it feels like there should be an entire area between the capital and the mountain.... But castle sol... my god... its like every enemy in that place is stronger then most of the bosses if fought before that place.
Those dual wielding knights... cant kill one of em for the life of me, let alone that boss fight...
Meanwhile i just killed Morgott the omenking first try, within 5 minutes, with 10 spare flasks... Like where did this difficulty spike come from?

The mobs in castle Sol are vulnerable to stagger, if you are having trouble using jump attacks helps quite a bit. What is your main issue? You die too quickly (1-2 hits)? You can't find an opening? Personally the only difficulty spike I encountered were those knights in the first ruins past the forbidden lands. I used a str build and lots of jump attacks so the knights in castle Sol generally got staggered. There are about 2 or 3 strong ones in there but they have a similar moveset as knights in early game.
slap em before they slap you
The loot you obtain after beating the boss in Castle Sol open the whole left side of the Mountaintop of the Giant. It's a trial for your ability and a warning for things to come.

Lol, I had the opposite experience, I was so glad to finally have a breather with normal, easy knights, after passing through those disgusting Zamor ruins and tons of golems and giants.
The banished knights can be pretty dangerous (especially the one with the lance), but they can be interrupted and backstabbed pretty easily.
Also I farmed the lance one for hours to get the non-altered banished knight armor, bad times

golems and giants are easyer imo, guess it depends on your build and playstyle
the dudes at zamor are pretty insane, most that came after was much easyer for me

Yeah, ones playstyle and build highly influences if a enemy is tough as nails or a push over. Some enemies you can demolish while others cant be harmed (like using pierce weapons against a crystaloid or using impact weapons against one is a HUGE difference).

But i mean more that the random enemies you encounter are tougher than the previous boss to get there.
Banished knights, yeah. They have very high poise and hit hard. Honestly killing those enemies really is a matter of "git gud" at some point, there isn't really a way to cheese them.

Though my advice would be to bait their vanguard attacks, where they charge up to quickly close distance between themselves and the player. The dual-wielding ones especially will always use the same attack if the player is too far away, and telegraph it well in advance. Learn that, learn when it ends, then punish it, or better yet backstab them.
