Crash at Rykard 2nd phase

So, I enter the boss figth, eventually slap the ♥♥♥♥ outta the big snake, then a cutscene seemingly attempts to begin, screen goes black an then *poof* no more game, gone, what do I do?

You update your drivers and make a check of the game files through Steam, I just killed Rykard on NG+4 tonight with no issues.

Verify game files after every update. Patching process tends to corrupt files in the repacking phase.
