Yes. In the Altus Plateau, you will fight an invader at one of the churches. This invader drops the Purifying Crystal Tear, and drinking it in your Physick gets rid of Mohg’s curse.

You get an item for if you finish Yura's quest. Otherwise you just have to heal through it, or DPS him down in phase 1.

Use the Puryfying Crystal Tear in your mixed physick's flask. This will reduce most of the damage and let you move. Not sure if you need to drink the flask before the boss or after the 3 rings.
If you don't have it, it is in the Second Church of Marika (West of Altus Plateau)

best way to avoid it is to not avoid it and just prepare to chug healing pots when he does it.
that's how i beat him anyway... there's a shackle for him somewhere if you wanna stunlock him during the fight.

There is a way to stop actually, he still steal your HP to his own HP bar but you can minimize the damage you take by a tear you can put in to wonderous physick. https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Purifying+Crystal+Tear

Yeah, the fight is one of the best, even though I struggled so much, even in NG+. The one thing I loathe is his fire claw delayed attack, I eat it EVERY TIME.

Vow of the Indominable (ash of war) can also apparently avoid the "nihil" he does if you time it correctly, since it basically removes your hitbox during the animation. Lasts longer than any dodge move AFAIK, even bloodhounds step. Though its expensive.

It may stop the healing, not sure.

Yeah I did the same lmao I chugged six of them and sliced him up hahaha I had no idea he was a hard boss honestly, tell my friend was all like "you beat mogh in one try!" Also I was like 170 lol so I'm sure that factors in as well lol
