This should be worthy advice (Serious)
Not gonna waste any more time on this dumb bug thing.
Also, enemies that ambush you when you walk though doorways is not cool or interesting game design, it's just the worst thing ever.
I just waded through what felt like a hundred dudes in the haligtree only to lose all the progress because a cleanrot knight did a bogeyman jumpout through the doorway I was going through and pushed me of a ledge right down into a revenant.
Snake shield is a god send.....
Btw I am level 164 and just killed the godskin duo on the second try.
Huh. Ok I was wondering about that. I didn't find either Astel fights to be particularly hard and Midir is a fight I know very well and like a lot. Keep the mid distance, bait an attack, punish with one jump attack, move back and observe. Fairly straight forward. It didn't even take that long. The multiple Astels did took me by surprise but that's about the worse it ever got for me.
As far as advice goes I can only add to what I already said by stating that jumping attacks with any weapon are extremely fast and easy to dodge right out of if you need to. Doesn't matter if it's a tiny little dagger, a shield or a colossal weapon. They're an easy way to end a sprint or follow up to a dodge from one of Astel's lunges or attempts at grabs and bites. Oh and, it might be overstated at this point but try not locking on. For most extremely large enemies is better to go full Monster Hunter and manually handle the camera at all times.
no they dont. your level is irrelevant if you didnt level out vigor enough youll get oneshot. same if you use soreseals at lower vigor.
i beat the godskin duo solo on my first try blind. so what? that has nothing to do with the fact this is a simple not enough vigor issue. oneshots dont exist in first playtrough unless you lack vigor (aside lethal falls of course)
i fought this thing multiple times. and aside my low level run i was never oneshot by any of its moves. and i got hit ALOT by it.
either you lack vigor or you where not full hp on certain attacks.
