Margit is the worst boss
1) His weapon is super buggy. You can stand outside of hit still get hit by it. Meaning you get hit while you see the full weapon not even touching you but it can also go underground.

2) Normally you would learn the pattern of a boss to attack him when you can. Margit is special. He has just a few combos you can follow up with an attack. Most of his attacks have a second attack and these second attacks have a chance for a third attack but even if he doesn't do a combo he can still follow up asap with another attack.
Meaning you have to be lucky that he doesn't do that.

I think one combo where he puts his hand in the air and uses his gold weapons can be predicted. There should be some kind of indicater if he is going to use his magic or not.

3)Let's talk about the "save" hits. There is one jump where you can get a hit but you need to jump asap otherwhise he will get you with his tail but if he doesn't use his tail he can get you with his stick. The good thing is they both share the same animation so you can not predict anything and need to be lucky.
Or after his jump with the golden hammer. Even if you time it perfectly there is still a chance he does a special combo to hit you while you end your first hit.

4) Combo that you can not dodge: When he uses his hammer and his stick you need to dodge out of it but let's say you are to close you can only dodge on of them.

5) Let's not forget you need to wait very long to heal yourself otherwhise he will stop every combo to throw his dagger

I feel like this is just a terrible boss. Even if you learn his patterns there is still a chance he makes the special one that you can not dodge. He has an attack you can't really dodge and to get one of these save hits it just takes ages.

PS: You don't need to give me tips I have already beaten the boss and and this is just my opinion about his design.

Then why are you complaining, Margit is here to basically force the souls habbits out of you and he does it pretty well
I already explained that. I have to say the Eldenring community has quit a lot of peopel that seem to have reading problems

Are you sure it's not your horrible grammar? It's very hard to take you seriously when reading your reply to me and him. People can't understand you when you make zero sense to begin with and have poor grammar on top of it.

he's the best boss in elden ring imo. he was messing me up for six hours straight, but i still love him.

1. i've never experienced this, fought him five times now.

2. i get what you mean, i don't like this about margit either. but that's just me being impatient. elden ring rewards patience more so than fromsoft's recent games. i understand that it's annoying, but it's not unfair.

3. never experienced this either. it would help if you gave us your build or a video to look at.

4. you can dodge his hammer + stick combo. the timing is just really precise, i've done it before. i'm not good at dodging it, but it's possible. the only combo i think is an issue is his three hit holy sword combo, but i haven't done much testing against it.

5. dodge then heal. most elden ring bosses will punish you for running and healing, that works in other fromsoft games, but not this one.

if you consider margit a bad boss, i'd imagine you're gonna hate most of the main bosses as well.

I routinely use the animation of weapon attacks to dodge his blows so you're talking bull here.

I never let margit do anything other than the jumping attack or his overhead swing because I just kite him at the edge of his melee range until he does one of those two. Even if somehow the combo becoming longer or more varied was somehow anything but a better test of your pattern recognition and reflexes it wouldn't matter because he is not hyper-aggro so you can control him. I could understand these complains about Malenia or Malekith or someone but not margit. Not even in his true form.

Still sounds like a skill issue.

You described how to dodge it after saying you cannot dodge it?

5) Let's not forget you need to wait very long to heal yourself otherwhise he will stop every combo to throw his dagger
Oh wow you mean the boss became smarter and started reacting more organically? You think this makes him worse? Are you trolling?

Your opinion is being poisoned by your lack of skill but even more than that your lack of understanding of the combat system.
FreakyFred 30/abr./2022 às 15:56
@Argonaut because it won't properly behave when replying I am just doing this instead. I think he is trolling or is making up how he has beaten the game. It reminds me too much of people complain first starting the game. He said malenia, radahn and Radagon are his choices for most fair and well designed bosses which is mindblowing considering his issues with Margit. Maliketh was my pick for hardest boss so anyone that complains about him i know isn't trolling.

I literally gave you a link to a video "Why Margit is so good at killing you", which explains most if not all mechanics of that boss AND some basic advice. You can parry him, learn to dodge all attacks perfectly, spell spam, use a special item that basically gives you 2 opportunities to deal free dmg, summon someone to help you bait the aggro and then some.
paladin181 30/abr./2022 às 16:37
The Grafted Scion is actually worse. It will break a combo if you back out of range rather than complete it to let you punish. Margit is pretty easy when it comes to punishing the combos.
Demonos3 30/abr./2022 às 16:40
time to learn to parry... yup, you can parry the hell out of him.

Just use your brain and don't be lazy. My grammer might not be the best but it is ok.

Stop lying and putting words in my mouth. I have said these bosses are my favorite once and i didn't talk about why i like them so much.
My post is also not about how hard a boss is. Just read dude. It can't be that hard

Good post but you should finish my one first. I have already beaten him more then once even solo no summoning and this is just my feedback about him. A boss can be hard but still be great to fight against. This boss is not hard just has some awful mechanics.

It is funny that as soon you ciritize something in this game it is because of bad skill.
There are peopel doing lv 1 runs without getting damage and they complain or critize certain things as well. Is this also because they lack skill? Got you there

You replied to me in broken ass English of me saying Margit and godrick are very fair and best designed that has nothing to do with personal favorites my personal favorite is maliketh and malenia but they are on no way balanced. Don't get mad at people and say just read dude when you can't properly read and reply yourself.
