Dying repeatedly to Maliketh, even with player help.

This is not good. I am level 194 with a Death's Poker +10 and I can't get him down. Always get him to second phase but then his ♥♥♥♥ is completely undodgeable. I have the Blasphemous Claw but too scared to try to use it mid-fight. Tiche doesn't survive. Mimic doesn't survive. Players don't survive.

I think this may be the end of the game for me, guys.

weird, on my rl 167 my summon died in phase 1 and beat him first try by just dodging his attacks in phase 2. He has pretty large openings after most of his attacks.

It's OK I'm done for tonight on this guy. Already beat Fortissax and Placlidusax and Alecto today, I'd say that's pretty good for a session.

Is your Tiche upgraded? She should be able to survive. Maybe I was lucky but I beat him in one try once I started using Tiche (alone I could not even reach 2nd phase). I was using a plain broadsword +25; square-off and jump attacks to break poise. The fight was very short.

You could always try the blasphemous claw parry... it's tricky to get it right, but if you do he is a sitting duck. Pretty satisfying win too.

He’s really not that hard. He’s more tough for melee, since during his second phase, he likes to stay mid-range and his close-range attacks are a bit hard to punish.

My advice is to stay right at his crotch as much as possible and only think about getting some distance when he goes up in the air.

Yeah, Maliketh I legit found much more difficult than any boss, even Malenia. At least I can see all of Malenia's attacks coming and they are well telegraphed.

But this MF leaps and flips all over the damn arena like a hyperactive wolverine on angel dust, swinging so wildly and unpredictably... I'm not afraid to admit I had to use my best spirit ashes to deal with him, and I basically repeatedly took cheap shots at him with a high powered weapon every time he aggod on my summon.

Use pillars and use the black blade counter from Recusant Bernahl. Just one counter will allow you to drain his HP.

Not sure what your build is, but rotten breath worked for me with a str\fth build. Mimic tear was tanky enough, just infected him with rot and ran away until he died, rofl. He who laughs last laughs best!

I think you can near 1 shot him with death's poker.

If you walk backwards he goes into that attack where he spins on his sword, and you can just walk to his side while he does it (watch a speedrunner fight him and you'll see it). The punish window for that attack I think is long enough for death's poker L2+L1. Presuming you have a lot of int (since you're level 190), and if you have a bit of stuff to buff magic damage (like the 20% from flask), I don't know exactly how much damage you'd deal but its probably a big percentage of his remaining half hp bar.

It sounds to me like you don't care about method and just want to get him over with. In that case, worst case watch a speedrunner fight him and copy it. The weapon swap speedrun is still in the game (uses bloody helice and war cry). It 1 shots him before he does anything.

As others have mentioned all of his attacks are in fact dodgeable and if you want to learn how to dodge them without trial and error yourself watch an RL1 fight against him.
