Bloodflame Blade not working

The bloodflame blade is shaded out, I can't use it on anything like a pike. I've got the required attributes. Any idea?

You need a seal to cast it, do you have it equipped and meet its requirements? Also, you need enough fp to be able to cast it.
Does your weapon have an elemental infusion like fire/flame art/cold etc. or is it upgraded with somber stones?

You can't use it on weapons with non physical damage.

!) You need to have an incantation seal in your left hand, and hold the weapon in your right hand

2) Weapon buffs only work on weapons without elemental damage (maybe some other conditions). So if you have lightning or fire damage on the pike you can't buff it

3) Out of FP/mana? Pretty low chance but worth mentioning, I've forgotten to check before

Got it, thanks. I had the Dragon communion seal in my right hand, rotated out to the weapon. After putting the Godslayer seal in my left, it now works.....always a noob at something.

Does it not work if you have a blood affinity on the weapon? because i use uchigatana with bloody slash

Im using blood hounds fang but it doesnt seem to work does anyone know why?
