Screen Tearing
Ever since the updates been rolled out to improve performance, I have had a terrible issue of screen tearing.

Anyone have any advice or tips on fixing the issue? I run everything on Low.

Yes I know that but where is the vsync option? Its not in the general settings.
If its not in the advanced graphics settings you'll need to toggle it using your GPU control panel.

If you don't know how to do that, first you need to know what your GPU manufacturer is (Likely Intel, AMD or Nvidia), then check either the taskbar or start menu search the manufacturers name and see what pops up.

For NVIDIA I know it will be "Nvidia control panel". If that isn't there, your graphics drivers are out of date.

V-sync will be in your GPU control panel's setting, unfortunately each one works differently and I'm only familiar with Nvidia so I can't advise further.

if your vsync is not on by default something is definitely wrong, unless u messed with your nvidia control panel settings, where u could also just force it on

Elden ring uses Vsync by default (no option to toggle it) so if it'disabled then you have it forced off in nvidia or AMD control panel.

there is also an option to "detect best settings" or something in the graphics options. this is supposedly the vsync option in the game.

There is no vsync option that you could just turn on/off. The detect system settings is just a preset that allows quick changes for all the graphical settings. Low, Medium, High, Ultra.

Not a fan of having it on for other games that have uncapped frame rates but going into the 3D settings/program settings for elden ring in nvidia control panel and turning vsync on through there fixed the issue.
