Exactly how I am feeling right now. Pure dex just not the same in darksouls and elden ring. Feels lacking or under performing.
I am doing a twin spear build, did a lot of damage but took a lot too because some bosses simply have higher poise. Dancing around them can be quite tiring and openings are too few.
It ended up into a no mistake dance with the boss in the fight. Not very efficient.
Agree, but those kind of bosses are few. Which makes pure dex less useful.
Not too sure, but from my experience. A couple of heavy attacks from colossal weapons bring most bosses to their kneels so you can crit them. I ran two colossal swords in my pure strength build I was surprised how fast I took out malenia pre patched with it.
and that is why statue effect proc deal % max hp as damage show alot more effective in game
plus bleed proc alot easier than in darksoul
Yeah I have upgraded morning star just for them. And those miners. I always upgrade one strike weapon in each of my play thru.
That's what I feel. Pure builds are no longer a thing in Elden ring. Hybrid is the way to go.
