Faith Hoarah Loux strat?

Trying to avoid bleed so please don't recommend that. But this guy is annoying asf to try and go full caster against. Literally he just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stomps me out of every animation, even the fast ones like lightning spear. Not to mention summons are utterly ♥♥♥♥ since he just stomps them to death going after you. I don't have time to cast, my build is not melee and I refuse to switch just to fight him, Fromsoft should leave every build viable and useful. Literally I don't get to play the game, if I try he ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stomps me and I have to try again. He was my favorite boss for both my melee builds, but on the caster tier list this dude is an F compared to the two S's from my melee builds.

Thanks for the offer, but for now at least, i play offline, I've beaten every boss without another player, but I'm just frustrated, since even Malenia occasionally let me cast a spell, even Malekith did. But Godefrey/Hoarah Loux? No fighting for you. literally not allowed to play

I'm running a faith build and exclusively use Ligthning Spear during coop.
My stats are 80 faith, 50 vigor and 45 mind, the rest is the prophets starting stats.
Talismans are Lightning Scorpion Charm, Flock's Canvas Talisman, Godfrey Icon, Ritual Sword Talisman, Lightning Shrouding Tear and any of your choice in Wondrous Physik for max damage.

To me it really just sounds you need to practice the fight more.

Pelt him in Lightning Spears, which will get even easier when you have something that pulls aggro.

His axe throw is a good opportunity to throw a charged LS at him, just like when you are out of range of his aoes he does when he jams his axe down into the ground or rams both of his hands down into the floor to make the ground explode.
If you feel unable to find a window for a charged LS, exchange the Godfrey Icon with anything of your choice.

Whenever he will start to stomp, jump the stop, bait out an attack and throw one LS, repeat until phase 2.

Really just look for attacks that are punishable, i.e. at the end of his wild swing combo.

It could be that you're right, and I just need to be smarter and more patient, but the issue is that summons are kinda trash, and they off themselves if I try to play patiently, so I have to be somewhat aggressive, which would be easier if my jumping R2 did more than 200 damage to the boss,

What gear are you using? I never tried to fight him up close with my build as my weapon damage completely sucks.
I have a flame art infused lordworn's straight sword which I only use as a last resort, should I run out of juice for example.

To clarify, I'm not trying for close combat, it's forced on me. My weapons are back ups.
For talisman I have: Flock Canvas, Faithful Canvas, Nokstella Moon, Radagon Soreseal
Armor: Crimson Hood, Hoslow chest, boots, and gloves.
Weapons: Godslayer Seal, Coded Sword, Twin Flame Art Erdsteel Daggers.

I've died 29 times now. My first run, dex, died 14 times. My second, strength, died 0 times. I'm doing 5 push ups every time I die. Hoarah Loux is officially the hardest boss in this run for me so far.

It's a real shame they butchered this refight so bad. I absolutely love the rhythm of the first Godfrey fight, but Horah Loux is a disgrace. Untelegraphed AOEs that cover the whole arena? Tracking, near unavoidable, one shot grabs? What a cheap boss.
