Since the game is so big, the devs had no time to properly implement basic stuff and the patches are kinda lazy and pathetic for the amount of cash the game made, I will help you to help yourself with some easy fixes for certain needs until the goty edition comes out.

MAKE SURE TO GO IN OFFLINE MODE FOR SOME MODS, check for EAC compatibility first.

This mod removes the awful Chromatic Aberration effect.

The games physics dont seem tied to framerate, the 60 fps lock is just because japanese devs philosophically speaking still live in the early 2000´s or late 90´s when it comes to framehandling

And lastly, this mod attempts to fix shader compilation stuttering caused by the god awful dx12 implementation by implementing VKD3D which is a vulkan wrapper for direct3d.

it helped me get 100 fps in GTAIV stable and will help you with weaker cpu´s alot in this seriously unoptimized classic of a game.

if you think the game isnt cpu heavy despite looking like 2010 or 2008 (graphically not artistically): you will need cpu improvements!

I'm having an issue, the RT button on my controller works in the menu, but doesnt execute the normal swing on my caracter for some reason...any ideas? RB button works fine..

Yes, make sure you force the game into offline mode, nexusmods has an easy tool on it just search top files and it'll be number 1 follow the instructions there and then u should be okay, just make sure to disable (or take out from the game folder) any mods you have installed before re-enabling online mode
