Bloodhound's step should be removed
I use it as well, and it's fun...
But really...
It should be removed or heavily nerfed and here's why.

It breaks the game. Souls games are all about spacing and timing = punishing. Especially for PvP.

Bloudhound's step just throws everything skill related out of the window because it gives you invincibility basically so as long you have FP.

Anyone having it, can decide to not die so as long he has FP. You can go through 3 ppl attacking you back and forth without taking any damage because of easily more or less 94% invincibility frames.

It's also faster than running since it covers a great distance, the only thing that can punish it somewhat are the grab attacks to my knowledge...

Sure it's a nice looking ash and fun to use ngl, but it's a game breaker mechanic.

And i do run out pretty often making me open to a lot of attacks from the bosses if i need to replenish.

Sure could do with a bit of an fp price boost, but removing it is too much.

Don't like two hand style and you need a lot of FP so not that great for melee build. There are other things in the game better than Bloodhound Step and easier to use, but I'm not telling you what they are cause I don't need any more 'they should nerf this' BS.

Ultimate disagree, since first of all, Bloodhound step is really fun. And giving more FP cost will just make it a mages only weapon. Also it literally breaks nothing. As someone who uses it, if I am an idiot with it, its just like spam rolling, you get hit if you don't know why you're dodging. But my main reason for disagreement is Malenia. Her waterfowl dance is dodgeable without it, but if you're too close when she enters the animation, you seemingly cannot run fast enough to outpace the first two to roll the third, which is what I always try to do. If you get unlucky in proximity or spacing when she begins the attack, Bloodhound step, or blocking is your only reliable way out of it.

Fun fact, use no skill ash on your shield to use bloodhoud step on with a one handed weapon

Disagree, because you have to sacrifice an Ashes of war slot for effectively a defensive ash of war. Also as you pointed out it does require FP, and you can run out very quickly if you spam it all over the place.

It also wouldn't make any sense whatsoever to give it less I-frames than it has right now, because then if it has less than quickstep or normal dodging, then why would anyone ever use it? They wouldn't because its main function is to provide more i-frames.

Also, as has been state 500 million times, this game PvE focused with PvP as a side thing. Git gud or stop doing it.

All of these people saying it shouldn't be nerfed don't have a history with From games. I think they nerfed evasion based items in every singles souls game. The I-frame window is extremely generous with bloodhound to the point where you literally don't even need to try. Bloodhound step would still be very useful if it had 0 I-frames and was used purely for spacing.

You're right for the Malenia fight, but not on the spam rolling since you can still roll catch ppl while the bloodhound's step covers way more distance with more invincibility frames.

Your strat works fine if you have the spacing for it but it's a bit more consistent if you run from the 1st, roll through the 2nd and walk towards her which will make her whiff the 3rd.

Thanks for the resource, tbh if this ends up being more reliable, I probably won't even need Bloodhound Step anymore, so I'll probably try to learn it so I can get a better ash of war equipped. My DPS is weak rn, mostly since I'm not a bleed build
