Active glowing on your blade means you can kill the skellingtons. No glow means you only get damage advantage.
Its for undead. Of course the main bosses are gonna not be weak to holy since they are demigods so they are holy. Its not like a thing to use in every situation, like with the other elements its situational. So if you are in an area with lots of undead go holy. If you are in an area with fire resistant enemies then use frost, etc.
Then again, I can use Flame Art which also scales with faith and go ham on undeads since sacred won't make them die on the first K.O.
If anything I guess I could use Sacred against things that are resistant to fire... and pray they are not resistant to holy too.
If you're a faith build, I'd recommend getting the coded sword. When fully upgraded, its weapon art can clear multiple undead with one or two swipes easily.
