I only need two tries the first time, because my stupid brain couldn't unravel the gimmick fast enough on stage 1.

It is a 20-30 second run through three enemies for the easiest great enemy in the game. Not really worth putting a Marika there.

Not too hard of a boss in phase 2. In phase 1 just kill the minions with the blue barriers around them, then wail on the boss.

In phase 2 just charge at he while dodging projectiles where needed. Obviously avoid the big moon if it comes at you. And when she summons, the summons only last like ten seconds, so just wait for them to vanish.

Open the shortcut if you haven't and just run from the debate room bonfire. Pretty straight forward boss. You can toss on the spelldrake talisman and/or use the magic resistance buff to lower her damage, if you even find that necessary considering the spells she uses aren't the most deadly. Summons should despawn as Sabaithal mentioned, except when it bugs out which I've only seen once.

Be warned summons persist after boss dies in phase 2 so be ready to keep dodging until they finally vanish...

Its easy to avoid actually and in fact, you can stop from spawning again.
