OP is correct that the damage on the bolts is overtuned. However since these enemies appear in few spots and in the capital they are blocked by most of the terrain, its not really an issue.
The person you were arguing against also pointed out that you werent being sensible:
Carnian Greatsword can work but only if you time it well with the attacks and make use of its extra reach. The others is just asking to get killed when trying to use it against fast ranged attacks. Because all of these (including the Greatsword) are slow spells.
You were the one to suggest ''fast'' spells, while listing only slow spells.
Slicer? That wont work against these guys because they have rapiers with many piercing attacks. They will outrange you. But hey, atleast you correctly named a fast spell this time.
Like them, I very much question if you even played mage. Those are very basic mixups to make.
You give really poor reasons, and dont even realise their arguments completely thrash yours. Even despite you being the last to reply. That's just arguing for the sake of it, and you arent even doing a good job at that.
Dont argue when your drunk bro. You just get confused about what is sensible and what isnt.
Besides, I dont think this discussion was even about people having trouble with them. But rather one particular attack being overtuned. Which it is.
There are a few easy counters beyond just dodging, taje a big ol shield, maje yourself invulnerable, snipe them back with bows or cross bows, bug them out on scenery / walls, stealth, go all solid snake and hide in a box...
The enemy I hate is the giant demon birds, not the night time boss ones, they overgrown rotting crow things, screw those things I actively avoid them, in fact, I discovered the farming spot involving them (before it exploded) specifically trying to find a way to kill them off to explore that area (and you can kill them both from the cliff top, not uf you want to farm, but the pulley bow can snipe them both with time).
Moonveil, Ash of war or slashes, nothing, blsidds greats word Ash, hurts, but not enough to not get eaten, guts sword, yo slow yo get them staggered, bows (not on a cliff) too slow and low damage, magic weapons with 70 int, tickle, tickle, CHOMP.
Magical nukes used to 1 shot full grown dragons 2 at a time or bosses, dodge, CHOMP.
Bleed, good luck getting enough hits in, ride torrent, chomp, no more mount, CHOMP CHOMP combo eaten.
I swear I due more to those things in total than any individual boss.
I am not ashamed to admit it, I struggle with those things, though, I've not pulled in a summon as I refuse to do do in open world, I will suffer, I will not given the demon tweeties the satisfaction of seeing a summon!
Who made Marika the final boss when we have some in those blood lakes?
