Game is sadly impossible beat maidenless don't waste your time if your trying =(

I thought an obvious challenge in the game would be to reject Melina and try to beat the game Maidenless but sadly it forces you to accept her accord to enter the capital which kinda sucks.

why does it even give you the illusion of choice though if it is going to force you to take it just seems pointless as it implies you can reject her but the game does not actually let you proceed that way and it is not even for a reason in game it just does not let you enter even when you have the 2 great runes needed to enter the capital it is a big oversight i think honestly

Yeah, I discovered this a few days ago. We had a thread about it going for a little while. The illusion of a choice really is disappointing.

Minor spoiler here, so view at your own risk if you haven't played through the frenzied flame ending.

I even tried to get Hyetta instead, but you have to get into the capital to finish her quest line as well.

So you really cannot beat the game truly maidenless. It was sad, I was really hoping for a special ending.

But thats a glitch. A typical from soft doesnt know what they are doing speedrunner glitch. No normal peep would do that. Most people dont even realize that stuff exist. Hell.. I know I wouldnt if I didnt watch dists speedruns.

Obviously this thread is based off using intended mechanics in the game and not using a glitch. There's currently no way to get into the capital using an intended route.
