Oh wow, the mimic tear nerf sure is something

Summoned it a few times with different loadouts just to really see the new AI and it's amazing how dumb it became. I've seen him a few times just putting away the main weapons to two hand fists, really feeling sorry for some of yall that relied on him.

Edit: Ok, I usually wear my main weapon on the left hand and a secondary weapon on the right to two hand the main one and switch for some quick arts with the secondary weapon. It turns out that when you only have one weapon and it's on the left hand the mimic tear goes stupid and two hands fists because that's the ``main´´ weapon.

The AI is still really dumb tho, and sometimes it doesn't even heal itself.

yay upgraded mimic tear to lvl 10 like 3 days ago and then they pull this little stunt.... good thing i still got my boy Oheg (or whatever his name is) who is an archer on steroids that fire Radahn-like projectiles, which stuns even bosses, so i still got a crutch to lean on.
i still liked the mimic better though, because after all that's a copy of me... shame to see him perform though.

Mimics def feel a bit stupid now. I fought a dragon the other day and watched my Mimic just kind of stand around getting slapped for a bit not doing much. They're at least still tanky tho

There's a Crystal Tear for your Physics that negates FP consumption for 15 seconds, which is more than enough time to drink, cross the fog gate and summon Tiche; I've even had enough time on it to buff my weapon with Bloodflame.

Considering my Mimic spent 2 minutes just standing in red lightning dragon attack, I don't feel that comfortable.

you realize how easy it is to make the mimic seem overpowered right?
the guy in the video you posted literally optimized his mimic for the sole purpose of taking down that boss.. using only 1 spell in heavy armor and with tons of vigor...

guy literally build his character around having his mimic do all the work for him and then posts this video like "look how OP this summon is"

if the player has a nice build then the mimic will ... well.. mimic that build and perform well.. if the player has a ♥♥♥♥ build the mimic will get rekt.

Out of the 2 Mimic Tear Boss you'll encounter, one is as Stupid as the Mimic Tear you get as a Ash Summon, the other still has the Original AI and will beat your ass.

Question: are you saying what's happening is or isn't happening? Because if you're saying it is happening, the mimic is overpowered because it CAN be overpowered. If you're saying it's not happening, you're denying reality and we should conclude this discussion. People call Moonveil Katana OP or Rivers of Blood or insert whatever item you want here and yet they're only strong when used correctly in the hands of a capable person, not someone improperly utilizing them. The same applies without even needing to mention that fact to everything else. The mimic is quite strong and mimics your build. If your mimic isn't strong, it says more about your build than it does about the mimic summon.

The mimic no longer seems to drink healing potions - The Estus that isn't actually Estus.

Other than that, the Mimic is fine.
