This presupposes that the victory condition of the game is technical mastery of combat, a highly blinkered and unimaginative view which refuses to acknowledge large portions of the game and community. I recommend that you examine aspects of Elden Ring outside of the mechanics of combat, such as the exploration, buildcrafting, lore, and online interactions; I think you may find that it enhances your experience.

Every souls game had this stuff. I bet most people summoned help for most bosses. I bet a lot of people leveled over the pvp meta. A lot of people used spells. Those were all easy mode tools.

Same with this game. Hey OP, did you ever summon other players to help you? Then you played easy mode.

Exactly, I remember being hyped for demons souls because everybody was saying how it was a return to old school gaming concepts. That means exploiting everything to break games and ultimately beat the game. It was never about becoming some kind of gaming god.

1. The kind who choose to limit themselves solely because they feel like it.
2. The kind who use every tool the game gives them to gain an advantage when necessary.

Either one is fine. That doesn't mean its ok to try and put people down for the other.

Using the tools in the game means that they did beat it. If someone is hacking then yes they didn't beat it. You are the kind of person to get mad that someone adjusted the brightness of the game to their taste.

I swear, all these casuals are going to ruin Elden Ring and any new game FromSoft is releasing in the future.

The game is balanced with extra hp if you summon and if you use ashes you are either taking away FP or HP.

I believe its balanced to use the tools it provides you.
