What does 'eye frame' mean? Re:- Leonine Misbegotten

I can't beat Leonine Misbegotten so I watched a youtuber and he said to time your 'eye frame' when the boss jumps as I don;t think the shield blocks a jump attack.

13 is nothing my man, some ppl have over 100 attempts on certain bosses. If you giving up that easy, the rest of the game is going to chew you up and spit you out. I spent 35-40 attempts on Owl Father in Sekiro

it's like a gif animation. you study the i-frames of the boss. know your own i-frames of your attacks and dodge.

I have hardly any health bar, so going to explore map, get more mats for making arrows and also get 3 or 4 levels to add Vigour and then try again.

check your status to see if you have 'heavy load'
if so, lose some weight by equipping lighter armor. Don't use heavy rolls

pro tip for leonine:
jump attacks interrupt his attacks, maybe charge attacks too (right heavy attack button/r2), but those are too slow to bother with as he's all nimbly bimbly jumpin around

but do a jump heavy attack on em, throws em off, then rest is just dodging F away before his spaz attacks hit you

what other bosses though? you can go directly to him as the game starts. I will be surprised if this guy has already beaten Margit and Godrick. After those guys yeah he is pretty pathetic

I think I got lost and was not really following the story, was just exploring. Killed some weird stone dog boss that could float, a Pumpkin head dude, a Giant and some others, but I don;t know if any of them were proper bosses or just average normal bosses.

Probably already answered but an “i-frame” stands for “invincibility frames”
They are part of the roll animation that allows you to pass through enemy attacks unharmed, even when your character model is directly hit by the attack

Bosses of dungeons aren't really proper bosses, treat those like mini-bosses, main challenge of a dungeon. Usually they don't have a lot of hp, pretty basic movesets and quite easy to deal with. The dude you're facing now is a proper boss but he is not that hard. One good advice i can give you is you should really level up your vigor at these very early stages of the game. Personally i think this is the most useful stat in the beginning until you get like at least 25

Jumping R2s with Lordsworn's GS or Claymore eat his lunch by the way. Dodge back and Jump attack for good stance break damage, and decent HP damage. After 3 or 4 in a short period, you'll stagger him. The jump attacks also stagger him nd break most of his attack anmations.

Leonine misbegotten is a lot easier when blocking with a shield, even if you're used to two-handing big weapons
