EAC hurts a lot the performance of the game and don´t stop the cheaters

the best anticheat this franchise has ever had was watchdog done by modders this one is bad and make the game performance bad or inconsistent
pls Bandai Namco or From Soft consider remove it and return to the old system or add other third party anticheat that don´t affect the performance this one is pretty bad don´t solve the problem and hurt the game

the game needs EAC unless Fromsoft want to patch the RCE exploit themselves but short of that, EAC is here to stay.

If it were possible to downvote this, I would. I would also remove your ability to post.

Please research what happened with Dark Souls in the past, on PC, with regards to cheaters. I played on console until Elden Ring and am very happy to have ZERO experiences mimicking those stories.

Secondly, while some cheaters will undoubtedly get through, as is the nature of security, educate yourself on how security systems work and understand, through the abstraction, that it applies here as well.

Worth noting I am not saying EAC isn't or is causing performance issues. There are obviously performance issues: I'm saying your idea is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid and you need to figure out why by educating yourself.

EAC causes big 1 second freezes regularly on my machine, polling devices, etc and causing my external drives to spin up (always at the same time I get those big freezes). Played for 2 ort 3 hours without it, and experienced almost no freezes or stutters. So it isn't the only problem, but it is a bigger problem than whatever else exists for some.

I got the same freezes playing offline with EAC still active, but with EAC bypassed and offline (duh) those went away. EAC is causing some issues for at least some people.

I have random stutters, maybe that's EAC. But the game never comes anywhere close to unplayable except launch night and weekend days. Yesterday I had to take a break from playing because I was missing platforming jumps and dodge rolls to the point of dying repeatedly.

I have played with it disabled in offline and enabled online. It has zero impact on my end.
EAC bans the user over family sharing so they would literally need to keep buying the game if they wanted to continue cheating.

The old system is garbage. Cheaters just creates new steam account and family shares. The cheaters never go away.

... or it's the multiplayer. You can't change two variables and then claim you know either one of them is responsible.

People have used community fixes to disable anti-cheat & some tweaks that supposedly minimize or even eliminate stuttering. The game also does not stutter on Steam Deck because of some Valve-side tweaks that were done, so it's 110% possible for Fromsoftware to fix it.

We know DX12 is responsible for the stuttering because the same problem is exhibited in not only multiple other DX12 titles/apis but also because Microsoft literally warn developers about issues that arise if the developer side is not set up to work with 12 (because it is, afterall, the objectively better thing than DX11) and if they're not familiar with it to use DX11 but for whatever reason Fromsoft used DX12 (possibly for more security features, idk).

Well, it isnt because of dx12 , i tested only disabling Eac, guess what? Stutter free, gained 10-15 fps. That maware keeps checking all the damn time... It consumes a ton of resources.

i read 1-2years ago the same issues with apex legends EAC eats too much resources good to know that is not DX12 i just tried DX11 and no EAC and is like play other game it runs better on open world than Dark Souls 3 ringed city locations for me

i will not use-install on my pc a sofware that i don´t know to prove you something that is obvious and so many people is pointing since the relase of the game and this is not the only game with complains about EAC affecting performace there is apex legends post , fornite post sword art online ..... and more games with these issues

if you want to believe it launch the game on direct x 11 mode and see with your eyes the huge difference on performance this game is better optimized and runs better than DKS3 without EAC

Do tell how you're launching in DX11 because it sounds like bs to me.
