Am I soft banned?

I don't use any sort of mods
I haven't messed with any of the files
I don't intentionally disconnect from PvP (I enjoy PvP for the most part)
I don't use offensive names

Thing is I can be summoned periodically, but I rarely see summon signs. YES I am using the Furlcalling Finger. I'm not even seeing summon signs at summon pools or even getting the chance to get the age old "Unable to summon" just because there is ZERO summon signs.

I am lvl 103 and I have tried multiple of the high level regions.
I don't have a password and multiplayer is enabled
I don't get any message regarding any problems at the main menu

Heck, I rarely even see messages or bloodstains. The appear but not near as much as they did with my other character. No "try giant but hole" or "hidden path ahead" messages either. It truly feels like multiplayer is disabled with the exception of a rare message or bloodstain here or there. On my other character I could always see other summon signs, even if it turned into "unable to summon". I don't even get that here.

no you´re not. because if you would be softbanned would the server tell you that you are temp banned. you would not be able to connect to the ER server at all.

It won't let you launch in online mode if you're banned.

Check if you can put up a sign. If you can't you're soft banned. It lasts only a few days, but escalates with more bans.

btw in addition to that, if you completed the area will you not longer be able to summon peoples, you will not be able to see summon signs. an area counts as completed after defeating the main boss. the area then counts as completed, regardless of having still side and/or minibosses in the area. the only exception is the starter region.

that is wrong, the first soft ban lasts 6 hours and you wont even be able to connect to the server.

Yeah I'm aware of that, but I've got all the way to Altus Plateau and I've seen maybe 5 summon signs in that time. Stark contrast from my first character.

I was in a similar situation this morning. I tried to play online for the first time this morning and I couldn't find anything but messages and blood stains.

Wow, I never knew this! I know people can summon me for help; I always drop a finger in order to help people out after I've defeated a boss, but never knew I couldn't summon a friend to show them the layout of the lair....

i found out your cut off from pvp and inviting other players today after you kill fire giant wich also makes it to where you cant get the rivers of blood katana from okina because they dont spawn.

from what everyone has told me its an unintentional bug that fromsoftware needs to fix.

your friend can summon you tho and you could show them in that way but yes, you wont be able to get for example your friend into godricks castle if you defeated godrick already x3.
