Again i like ER. Especially when the game lures you into corridor lvls like we had in previous souls games. Its the open world itself that feels barren. Srsly. I just check the map, and see a structure and i go there and its one of five things. Its always the same. The game does shine though when it guides you into an area that feels like a fleshed out part of a souls game.

Not saying I think Ubis are all bad. Haven't played the recent ones but I loved the Ezio AC games back on my PS3.
As for whether this will cause other studios to take notice and develop their stuff differently, I honestly don't know. Considering how well received this game is and how popular it's become, the answer would seem like an obvious yes, but if the AAA developers on twitter are anything to go by, looks like some will continue to do things the way they are, regardless of this acceptance of ER's neo-oldschool approach
Volcano Manor was a great portion of the game
There is more to video games than open world... not every needs to be open world and there are a ton of amazing games that don't have open world and shouldn't.
I sure hope the next releases have better pc current technology support not a game that looks good but feels like it came out in 2015
Yeah, fanboys as usual on this forum. But play other open world games. Really. There are tons of games vastly superior to ER in this regard. ER's world isn't bad, it isn't great. It's decent. But it's full of design flaws.
