quick step from off hand?
is it possible to use off-hand skills when having main hand active?

It uses those skills by default, rather then the main hand. Main hand requires two-handed wielding, not having anything in off hand or the off hand having ''no skill''

Idk if there's some keybind I missed that allows you to use skill from main hand normally.

Do not believe there is a way apart from what you already described.

If you want quickstep in your off-hand; put a weapon in your off-hand that does quickstep.

It should use it instead of your main-hand weapon art.
The only time you use your main hand weapon art is if your off-hand is empty, or holding an item with 'No Weapon Art'

Powerstancing uses your primary hand for weapon skills as well.

I noticed that there is some sort of priority system. For example, my main hand has the darkmoon GS and it will use the GS buff ability for everything unless I'm wearing a shield or crossbow. If I use a shield / crossbow or change my mainhand weapon to something lower priority, I can use the L2 on my offhand again.

Of course, two handing always uses the weapon you're holding, so you can use either ability whenever you want.

no quickstep from offhand
mainhand skill takes priority

for some buffs you can 2hand the weapon - apply your buff and then switch your mainhand and buff that too

i run 3 swords to powerstance all the time - i switch my mainhand to have access to damage skill or bloodhound dash if needed

If you use a shield, it will use the shield skill. You can overwrite this with the skill “No Skill”. If you are powerstancing, you use your main hand skill. I don’t know what happens if you hold two weapons not powerstance capable but I would imagine it uses the offhand skill as it would allow parry daggers.

For powerstancing, there is no way not to use the mainhand skill.

You need to two hand your off hand weapon to cast off hand skills then input to two hand your main hand to pull it back out again for power stancing, cycling through weapons to pull it out takes more inputs.

It uses the main hand skill in that way. Seems its only off hand skill if its a shield in the off hand.

Cycling through weapons and two handing to your other weapon can also debuff your other weapon.
