ELDEN RING

ELDEN RING

Zobrazit statistiky:
Is Triple stats build viable in the first playthrough?
I'm playing the game making a str/dex quality build, as I did before in every souls game. Except in bloodborne, where I did, in the first playthrough, str/arcane.

Elden Ring has so many cools skills and weapons that need faith/int to use, that I'm wondering if it's viable making a 3 stats build : str/dex/int or str/dex/faith

Opinions?

In the first play through? Only if you sacrifice health and stamina. Not worth it IMO.

By 2nd play through you can be on your way though.

Honestly, save it for new game +8. That's the "real" game and those triple stats will be taken full advantage of to the high levels then. Bosses will be scaled to keep up too.

Double stats certainly looks viable. There are tons of dual stat weapons, I'm even struggling to find pure STR ones.

Triple stats might be viable too, I saw some weapons, but I suspect only for melee. You'll do the bulk of your damage with a triple scaling weapon and cast some utility or range spells.

You can only go one stat, respec to two later, then add the third.
I don't know if I'll have the time to play this 2 times, imagine 8 times kkkkk
Far from optimal, but absolutely viable, yes. I did Str/Dex/Int for the sake of variety. I struggled with HP in the early - mid game, but it was manageable. HP wasn't an issue by late - end game when it really mattered. The game throws a lot of runes at you in the latter stages, so you have plenty of levels to work with.
my first playthrough was with vig/fth/arc all above 50, just enough end to wear the snow witch set with my choosen weapon, and just enough str/dex for my chosen weapon. went through most with a cold or poisoned greatsword, and spewing nasty breath attacks in everyones face with my dragon communion seal. though realistically, i could have just had enough fth/arc to cast the spells i needed as the dragon breath spells dont seem actually effected much by spell buff. also since the silver scarab adds more to your item discover than 70 arcane will, was kind of wasted there too. though supposedly my high arcane made my weapons proc status effects more quickly, and perhaps my breath as well.
you can literally put 20 into all stats and progress without issues. Just takes a bit more runes in the long run.
i think so yeah, i'm doing str/dex/int and i'm nearing softcap on my third damage stat about 3/4 through the game (i think). just do them one at a time till you hit the softcap. maybe enough str to have weapon options if that's not your first. you benefit more that way.

that being said im not sure its optimal as im not really sure im getting much mileage from the int atm but it doesn't really matter at this point.

The new softcap for single damage stat, for PvP at least, but based on diminishing returns too looks to be 80.

For dual stat builds, like quality, 50/50.
really? it started dipping on the in-game damage anyway after 50ish for me
I'm doing 4 way split and only not leveling Arcane. It has been an uphill battle, but on the bright side I have spiky fire fists, a chain whip that bleeds people, a nice straight sword that chills enemies, and a few incantations as a bit of an additional tool kit.

So… maybe don’t be like me and stop at 3 things : D
Thanks guys!
You can build what you want really. You can respec if you don't like it eventually.
Just make sure for survival have vigor at least 40.
I went this route (currently level 282). It's not worth it for your first play through. You will be forced (eventually) to respec/rebirth and shift your points around to finish certain fights. The reason being is that you'll need (imo) at least 40 Vigor (for melee) at least 35+ stamina, and then between 50-60 for your main damage stat. Dex still needs to be up there for certain weapons too, plus its needed for the mounted boss fights (so minimum 24 dex). This means just to get a class to end game viable, you're looking at level 120. When you throw in a double stats build (say dex/arc or str/arc or int/dex) you will need atleast 35 points in it to be viable - that puts you at 155ish. However, for the damage to really be worth using (when switching off from 1 weapon to another (or spells) you'll want that stat as close to 50 as possible - putting a whopping level 170 for a double stat build, instead of level 120 for 1st playthrough.
