Fix for slow roll
Hey guys, I haven't played any Dark Souls games (aside from Sekiro) so I wanted to share this quick tip that I learned after 40 hours in case there are people like me:

The roll speed depends on your weight.

There are essentially 3 types of rolls:
- Very slow roll - when you have more then 70% weight of total weight
- Normal roll - when you have above 30% but below 70% weight
- Fast roll - when you have less then 30% weight

Very slow roll (which I learned is called "fat roll" by the community) is essentially what I had most time as I didn't know about this and just equipped armor with best stats. This is the worst one, it takes a bit to start rolling, is very slow, and has almost no invincibility frames (aka invincibility time during animation).

For this reason it gave me feeling like there is big input delay and that controls are veery unresponsive.

When I equipped less gear however, and got to the Normal roll game just felt MUCH better and smoother, and I could more easily defeat enemies.

It's a newbie tip, but game doesn't really explain this mechanic at all so I assume there are many other people like me who don't know about it.

Hope it helps somebody! :)

The game explains the mechanic in loading screens. Also, if uou look at the screen when you are equipping items, you weight and burden load are shown. Low load is fast roll, medium load is normal, and heavy load is fat roll. Over load is no roll which is new for souls games.
