If you don't know the timing and don't like the slow moveset then use something else. But it works and lots of players are abusing it to keep bosses on the ground instead of attacking.
But yes, the bosses are very fast in this. They seem like Bloodborne bosses more than Souls at times, which I have noticed clashes with the flow of this game.
I'm playing a medium build with a 1h sword and melee magic. Some of my defensive spells can't even hit the bosses as it loses tracking on it.
i was a ♥♥♥♥♥ and kept summoning the summons while they widdled down his hp and i was 2 miles away
i wasnt going in there when(at 30 vigor) he still 2 shot me
so ya just be a ♥♥♥♥♥,swallow your pride and kick his teeth in
FromSoftware's Fanboys:"if your favorite build sucks, and the enemy designs were designed for just one build, use something else."
Plenty of people are using the favorite build. He just can't handle using it.
yet strangely enough jumping attack a large enemy can stagger then infinitly... weird
