Also git gud. Those knights are scary.
The best way I deal with them is to sneak up with a backstab and then use a dragon breath attack but you probably dont have that yet.
Nowadays what I've heard more and more from the avid Dark Souls fans I have among my friends is that "don't bother -- run past them. That's what I always do" seems to be a preferred tactic of long-time players.
Basically some mobs just aren't worth the effort, and just running past them seems to be the better choice.
Otherwise, they're just a hindrance to exploration, if you're 100% certain that theres nothing left to discover in the area you can ignore them and go to the next place.
Parry+Riposte.
They are the only real enemy thats giving me big greif.
I only managed to kill the dark trap room one by backing out the door and it felt cheap n dirty.
If you dont know, basically you block their attacks and follow up immediately after with a Heavy Attack, it will do a sorta counter to them, with enough hits you will break their stance and allowing a riposte
Ill try improve shield parry.
Jumping heavy is great to stagger them, but watch out because they can do their aoe as soon as you start your jump in and they wont be stopped from getting 2 or more hits on you. If they start winding up a slash, that's a great time for a jump in.
If you can bait the first aoe, and get to a decent distance, they will likely do their rush attack follow up, which is very easy to dodge and opens them up to being hit a couple times before going back to neutral.
