Poise being turned off was the critical reason why I stopped playing DS3 so long ago.
I know what having heavy armor should do. I'm weighed down in favor of being more tanky. How I make up for my slowness is up to me.
I absolutely should NEVER have an enemy cough in my general direction and cause stunlock. I've complained about it before, and I will again. It is the WORST design decision and Fromsoft has an absolute fetish for putting it into their f*cking games now.
It's already fast turning me off from playing this pos any further, since enemies can all attack faster than me, often gank me, and are just hyper aggressive. I get punished for trying to attack back because one of them slapped me with a wet noodle and I got stunlocked for 3 more free hits.
Absolutely disgusting.
Not going to lie, it's why I don't bother putting any armor on but just dress myself for soul fashion purposes. Also why I stopped doing a pure strength weapon build with a two handed ultra greatsword. I'm already slow swinging, if an enemy hits me and my hyperarmor doesn't activate in time- i'm going to eat ♥♥♥♥.
Happens way more in Elden Ring, especially against bosses who have combos long enough for me to use the restroom and come back in time to see the finisher.
...Seriously weaker enemies poise break way too easily, and without my Claymore I highly doubt I would be poise breaking my enemies nearly as much.
You might poise through 1 small poke, but then you start to flinch. Poise is not meant to be active all the time.
dark souls 3 ruined so much....but no i think there is regular poise again, it's just the dogs and rats are specifically coded to have infinite stagger. its all they got
