ELDEN RING

ELDEN RING

View Stats:
less than half of the people that bought the game have beaten Godrick.
I like to look at the achievements for souls games. interestingly almost always less than half the people on any given platform ever beat the first real boss. Rennala is sitting at less than 25% and it falls off sharply after that. For a game that was heralded as the most accessible Fromsoft game to date. It looks to be retaining that rock hard difficulty we have come to know and love.

Edit: reading threw the replies everyone keeps saying exploring is the reason why or inferring that I am running threw the game. while I am not looking at every single blade of grass trying to find some deeper meaning to it I am geting threw at a fairly comfortable pace. Just finished the area north of limbgrave. I mean seriously. there isn't 60 hours of game in limbgrave. Looking back at all the soulsborne games. This seems to be following the same trend that after the first big wall boss people lose interest.

Oh, Godrick is first boss? Haven't found him yet, I'm currently struggling with Margit, but some more tries I should be able to down him.

While it may be difficult to beat for some...

Others may argue that it was mainly just poor coding,
& not Difficulty at all that prevented them from beating the 1st Boss...

Like if your PC can't handle it, or your Internet was bearable at best...
Or if your Game just flips out all over the place?
Or if your Game just won't even start at all for instance...

------------------------------------------------------------

Hmmmmm... Maybe you beat 2nd Boss before 1st Boss? o_@

People keep saying Godrick is the first boss but he isn't a required first boss. At some point you have to get past him but it isn't even required when exploring. In Dark souls 3, my first boss was the Dancer after the tutorial where I just cheese spammed blackfire bombs.

maybe just taking their time experiencing all the game has to offer and not rushing

I notice that it's half of that amount for Raya. I feel super 'lite right now. Honestly, I don't think people are in a hurry to beat the game, there is just so much to explore.

I haven't even tried to beat the game yet. Too busy checking every other area. Lol

The low main boss completeion rate could also be from how much there is to explore. I just finished Rennala yesterday and it wasn't because im having a hard time. I'm just busy looking around.

I haven't found him yet. :D Yeah, been exploring the world heaps looking for gear and experience.

Killed about 5 other mini-bosses that didn't give an achievement and have at least another 5 bosses I can choose to be murdered by. Why everything hates me? haha

Exactly, I'm not trying to rush the game, I am enthralled in my character build and and the world overall. I have been looking in every nook and cranny for bosses or things that could improve it in some small way.

maybe but I doubt it. the game is big. but it aint that big. I think I 100% limb grave in 23 hours. that was me taking my time. after that it took me about 10 hours to clear Linuria. This is just how these games shake out. Bloodborne for example less than half of players beat Father G. the first boss of that game. I say Godrik is the first boss because everything else in limb grave is fairly soft and squishy. I will be interested to see what the current player count is in a week.

That's a poor excuse to be using tbh....

This game has so many quit moments you have to be a seasoned souls vet to stick with it long enough to get to godrick.
