I still haven't advanced much, but I guess we will encounter the father at a later point in the game.
I talked to her and him again and now he's at her body mourning her. Is there anything passed that?
Glad I wasn't the only one running into this. Hopefully they make a fix.
I kill the boss before I talk to him.
I talk to him then return to a Grace point, talk to him again.
Teleport to Irina and he's there then teleport to the Shack (I found the shack before hand) and got invaded by him.
I talked to him after I killed the boss but wasn't able to tell him I actually killed the boss, seems like a bug to me. Will looks for the shacks though. Thanks.
Sadly the quest is already done. I tried that after killing the boss and he told me the same thing about having to defend the sword and it would not progress until after I went back to (dead) Irina.
Anyway, when I went back to him and I gave him the letter and then he thanked me. I think you can immediately talk to him and he acknowledges you killed the boss. You can't tell him his daughter is dead, you just go back and he is there weeping over her body swearing vengeance.
I felt bad killing him after he invaded me at that shack. I would have joined him in his vengeance. He was doing his duty and lost everything because of it.
I guess it's just my game because I went back to talk to him and she still died because the quest wouldn't progress through him.
I did the same thing and I think the quest doesn't change whether you talk to him before of after the boss (Although I wish it did for the better). His daughter's death seems inevitable unless you skip the quest I guess
She dies no matter what. It's a sad quest to be sure, but not one you can produce a happy ending in.
you didnt bug anything nor made a mistake. you cannot safe her. you didnt miss out on anything item wise either.
i havent seen the father again since that. but i got invaded by him once later down the line. maybe thats it. not sure. still about 1/3 of the overworld map is in shadows for me. i am 70 hours in and i still havent seen the full game. its absolutly insane how huge and detailed this game is. its not only liveing up to the hype it surpasses it in some cases even.
most of the posters here havent seen anything yet. this is game of the year by a mile. no contest possible at all. the amount of content and the details and hidden stuff and boss design and fights is crazy.
you cannot. stop spreading missinformation.
