Last thread like this I saw people mewling "Learn timing idiot!"
You know how much timing I need with a greatsword? NONE. Because the strong attack you drag the blade along the ground (which even causes contact damage) and then let go of the trigger for your big swing.
Meanwhile, trying to use the R1 attack on my longsword can uselessly swing over the heads of harmless sheep during drivebys at times. even once I Start circling them like a helicopter.
Also, watch out for any small rocks or step like inclines. they love to interrupt your attack ready up animations while enemies have no such problems. Which was the "hardest" part of some of my horse vs horse battles.
Could switch them and try to reprogram myself. Would be nice if horse had its own keybindings like how some games have for horses, cars, etc. I’ve only tried 2 fights on horse as just recently got it.
(using a spear if it matters)
Try using weapons that make sense for mounted combat like halberds or large curved swords. Getting gud might also help!
"git gud"
Man I hate the souls community so much.
If there isn't enough room for that or bad terrain (Caria Manor near the towers for example) it can still be rough though.
bye....
