coop, fog walls everywhere
why is it that most entrances to caves n all have fog walls blocking me from entering if im playing coop?

By game design, you are meant to summon only for a specific area usually a boss. If the boss dies the coop ends and the helper gets his reward.

So to get around it, just summon each other in the cave. It's a little extra work, but it works.

It is a dumb design that I think should be fixed as well as still allow summons after a boss is taken care of. World should be open all the time to a group.

But From will never truly update their design on coop to make to make it better. Instead. They will hurt invaders through trying to help coop?? Some weird design choices were made at From...
Restrictions on what is supposed to be an open world game then becomes a section based game cause you wanted to play with someone. I am fine with them disappearing after a boss fight fine. Obviously host dies fine that is how it always has been.

But when you decide to make such a big game compared to the linear style that is used to have. You need to make the coop evolve with the design. I am fine with it being a region restriction.
But catacombs and caves should be left open. Or atleast to the grace. So to do the rest. You will have to disconnect.
( but at that point you might as well open the whole cave or catacomb. )

It's just the sad poor design choice of multiplayer sadly. You will have to summon every time you change area/boss - and becareful what bosses you kill because it can lock you out of the ENTIRE area for multiplayer and you won't be able to play with friends ever again (e.g limgrave will be locked completely in multiplayer)

As I pointed out. Atleast open up caves and catacombs to just the grace site so it can be marked. Just silly how you have to disconnect to get to it.

Yeah only the host can "touch" the grace, but not rest. There's no point in even joining a co-op in the open world since only the host will get the graces/loot etc, kinda sad tbh

I think, though I'm not certain, that there are different "summon zones" primarily due to spirit ashes.

IE, if spirit ashes are used in one zone, and they either die or get sent back, then you can't summon any again until you fast travel/rest at grace. So they have different "zones" so that you don't have to be constantly resting at sites of grace for every new zone in order to summon spirits.

And this is the part I'm unsure about, I think the summon zones for player coop and for spirit ashes are the same, since you can't seem to summon both. Simply put, they're tied together for some reason, and because of that the same zone limits for spirit ashes are enforced on players.

lmao i forgot i even made this and now it had alot of replies in a matter of half an hour. i got used to it tbh so it doesent phase me anymore. still a bit annoying, what DOES annoy me though is that some places have fog walls so you cant get into that section of the map. i have noticed one of those and im at the capital so hopefully thats the only one.

the fck? wdym, im having a blast with my friend, it makes bosses both harder and easier, have you kept count on how many bosses you use the horse for? cuz i only do it on the dragons cuz you cant kill them without it. you cant just tell me im playing a multiplayer game wrong simply because you choose to play it singleplayer lmao

As again. I am just wanting to atleast get to the grace site. Not to explore. You can have a goal of getting to the area. I am just saying it is weird design to not let that person go 10 feet in. Hit the grace. Then disconnect. Rather than having a wall at the very beginning.

It is not really an issue. I just found it weird design. And is just another way of restricting players in a game that normally promoted freedom in the single player game.

I myself honestly stopped summoning people altogether and am just pure solo at this point as any open world areas I know will just be restricted. Stopping me from progressing anything outside of killing the outside world miniboss.
