Is this game easy?
This is mostly my first souls game. I touched dark souls 1 back in the day but wasn’t a huge fan so I stopped playing. I picked this game up and so far I have killed every mini boss in west limgrave on my first attempt without reading anything about them. I just stumbled across them while exploring and went into the fight and literally annihilated them. Then I’ve looked up the list of bosses in west limgrave and I’ve done all of them including the tree sentinel (not dragon though). The only boss I’ve died to is margit before I saw the sorcerer summon sign. Then I simply cheesed him with the sorcerer and summons. Maybe it’s because I’m in west limgrave or maybe it’s because they make the mini bosses super easy on purpose but does it get harder?

I just first tried Godrick so I'd say probably yes. I don't know why the game gave me an NPC companion for this fight.

Anyway, it's like the Fextralife review said, this game is easier than Dark Souls if you don't rush to the main bosses right away and take your time.

Not specifically easier. More digestible, less "hard" on a sense of Quality of life enhancements.

Dark souls 1 is pretty crappy in a sense that is doesn't consider the players' time. IE. a checkpoint would be minutes away from a boss with many opportunities to die and/or be injured and use up your health flasks (limited.)

The combat was more clunky, and a lot of the important stat info was rather cryptic.

DK 2 was similar but IMO much better (the enemies cheated more.)

Dark souls 3 and this game are very close. If you could play both in any order and appreciate both (DK 1 feels VERY unrefined.)

Limegave is meant to allow newer players to the franchise to "ease in" with Margit being the first real test.

So yeah, depending on when you defeat him will probably tell you. I beat him after 1 miniboss. About level 13. If you beat every miniboss, you are FAR past that level. Thus he would be much easier.

This is one of the refinements DK 1 didn't have, you would have to grind low yield enemies for hours to power level. Now you have plenty if treasure troves to allow you to control that challenge.

played DS1, 2 and 3 and bloodborne. This game is very forgiving with mistakes, the i-frames are longer and it feels cheating. this game has superior tool kits to help the player defeat an enemy. The progression is still metroidvania but the overworld is big. I guess i should call it a metroidvaniast. lol
I honestly think this is the hardest one. The difficulty curve is super gentle this time around. But when it ramps up, it ramps up insanely hard

This is open-world game, so it makes sense for being more forgive. Game is still hard.

I think it's the easiest Souls type game since maybe Bloodborne, but Bloodborne is still easiest.

yeah very easy, actually it is so easy you might play the game blindfolded. go ahead, good luck.

Anyone who says this is easy is trolling. There are some easy side bosses and some difficult ones. Tho all are possible with SL1 but that takes some skillz. Challenge is more up to the player, you can power level, farm some giants, max out your heals and use summons. Or you can face any enemy you see for the first time and keep at it till you succeed which is more my style, not a fan of returning to places because it's too hard.

Did you fight the Fringefolk Hero's Grave boss near the start? The area is locked with a key in the starting area, I suggest giving that a try, as well as the Coastal Cave boss to the SW without a summon and see if you beat them on your first try.

If you are using summons cause you died a couple of times and then say it's easy... Summons are there to make it easy. Also, Magic build is supposed to be easy mode. Seems like you are finding stuff easy because you made the game easier.
