I been using duel whips and raze claws with bows. as i see whips are the weapon that get no love. all the good ashes I got don't work on them neither dose the weapon spells and grease. so I wonder is this hard mode, or am i missing something?

I haven't really played too much with whips, but do they have the best range of all melee weapons in the game? It sure feels like it. Also, pretty good poise damage, which was surprising to me.

Ohhh..I just had an idea for whips:
Infuse one with an Ice ash for Frostbite
And one with a Fire ash, to erase the Frost buildbup after it procs.

Just proc Frostbite, then remove it, repeatedly.
That's...assuming there's an Ash of War that applies fire damage; I'd have to reinstall and erase my randomizer mod to find out.

I found out why my weapon spells and grease where not working on my Whips. I had an ash of war that gave them permanent status effect. I switch it to Keen affinity now I can grease or spell them up all I want.

Saw someone using dual whips while fighting Malenia the other day. They were pretty effective, somehow staggering the crap out of her. I think they were somehow doing bleed damage as well.

For how much poise they break, they sure don't crit. Kiiinda hate em for that.

Remembrance from killing fire giant gives a unique whip
